VR video

Is VR video worth it for a business like mine

A headset film that lets somebody walk round your place without driving there. Built as one job, not a monthly thing.

You get a finished VR film for a headset and for your website, plus the plain files to keep. Nothing switches off later because you stopped paying a subscription.

When does a VR video actually earn its keep

Honest answer first. Plenty of small firms don’t need this, and if you’re weighing it against a decent set of photographs, take the photographs. Where it does pay is when the thing you sell is a space or a process somebody has to be stood inside to understand. A holiday cottage a family wants to wander through before they book it. A workshop you’d rather not stop for visitors every week. A safety walkthrough where getting it wrong on a live site is expensive. In those cases you film once and everybody sees the same thing, forever. The film gets built to work two ways: through a headset at a trade show or in your reception, and in a browser where people drag it round with a mouse and never realise it was shot for a headset. The files come to you at the end, so none of it stops working if you stop paying anybody.

Questions people actually ask

Do people need a headset to watch it

No. It plays in an ordinary browser on a phone or laptop, where you drag to look around. The headset version is a bonus for shows and demonstrations.

Can you film the place before it’s finished

You can, though empty rooms tend to look smaller and colder on camera. Filming once it’s fitted out and lit usually gives you something you’ll want to show people.

What if I want it changed next year

Changes to an existing film get quoted as their own job. Nothing rolls on automatically, and you’re never locked into paying to keep last year’s video alive.

What will it cost

Depends what you want, so ask. Ring 01823 242424 or email info@reor.co.uk, tell us what you need, and you get a price. One job, one price, done.
