Business card printing
Can I get good business cards without agency prices
Proper card, printed properly, with your details laid out so people can read them. Collect in Taunton or have them posted.
You get a card that feels like something when it lands in a hand. Design, stock and finish sorted in one go, then printed in the same building it was designed in.
Is cheap business card printing any good
Cheap and nasty are two different things. Nasty is flimsy card, a logo stretched sideways, and a phone number in tiny grey type. Cheap is a sensible stock, one clear job of typesetting, and a run sized to what you will realistically hand out before your mobile number changes. What you actually need on there is short. Your name, what you do, a number people can dial, and one way to find you online. Everything else is decoration, and it usually makes the card harder to read. The part worth caring about is the stock and the finish, because that is what people notice without knowing they have noticed. A thicker card with a matt laminate reads as solid. A thin gloss one reads as a leaflet. You get shown samples, you see a proof before it prints, and the artwork files stay yours afterwards.
| Finish | How it feels | Worth it when |
|---|---|---|
| Matt laminate | Soft, solid, no glare | You want it to feel considered |
| Gloss laminate | Shiny and hard wearing | Cards live in a pocket or a van |
| Uncoated | Natural, slightly rough | You need to write on the back |
Questions people actually ask
Can you use the cards I had before
Yes, if you still have the artwork or a clean printed one to work from. If not, the layout gets rebuilt, and this time you keep the files.
How thick should the card be
Thicker than the free ones. Past a point you are paying for weight nobody notices, so you get pointed at the stock that feels right without going daft.
Can I pick them up rather than pay postage
Yes. Collection is from Tauntfield House on South Road in Taunton, weekdays or Saturday morning. Say collection when you order and they get put aside for you.
What will it cost
Depends what you want, so ask. Ring 01823 242424 or email info@reor.co.uk, tell us what you need, and you get a price. One job, one price, done.
