Branded merchandise artwork
Will my logo actually print properly on a pen
Your logo rebuilt for each product, so it still looks right on a pen, a mug, or a hoodie.
You get print-ready artwork for every item you’re branding, built to what each supplier asks for. Send it on and the job runs without a phone call back.
Why does branded merchandise artwork need doing separately
Merchandise printers don’t all work the same way. A pen is pad printed, so your logo lands in one flat colour with barely any room. A mug is wrapped round a curve. A tote bag is screen printed. A polo shirt is stitched rather than printed at all. Each method has its own rules about line width, colour count, and what happens to small detail. The logo file you already own was drawn for a website or a van. It will struggle on at least one of those items. So the artwork gets rebuilt per product. Lines get thickened where they would close up, colours get converted to the right reference, and tiny type comes out. Everything is scaled to the print area your supplier gave you. You send that file over, the supplier runs it, and nobody comes back asking for a better one.
| Item | How it prints | What changes in your file |
|---|---|---|
| Pens | Pad print, tiny area | One flat colour, thicker lines |
| Mugs and bottles | Wrapped round a curve | Edges pulled in, no fine type |
| Bags and tees | Screen print, colour by colour | Colours counted and separated |
| Polos and caps | Stitched, not printed | Detail simplified for thread |
Questions people actually ask
Can you just use the logo off my website
Usually not. A website logo is too small and too soft for print. If that’s all you’ve got, we’ll redraw it clean first, so it holds up on every item.
I’ve already got a supplier for the mugs
That’s fine. You only want the artwork, so you get the files and take them wherever you like. Your supplier tells you the print area, and it gets built to fit.
Do I need different files for every product
Yes, in practice. A pen and a fleece want different things from the same logo. You get one set of files covering everything you’re ordering, so you’re not chasing artwork later.
What will it cost
Depends what you want, so ask. Ring 01823 242424 or email info@reor.co.uk, tell us what you need, and you get a price. One job, one price, done.
