What goes into an annual report design and print job

Most of it starts with whatever you already have. Your accounts, a note from the chair, some photos, a list of things that went well. That gets turned into pages people can follow: a cover, contents, the story of the year, then the figures. Charts do the heavy lifting where a table would lose people. Your colours and your logo run through it, so it looks like you rather than a template. You see a proof before anything is printed, and wording can still change at that stage. Design and print happen under one roof, so nothing gets lost between two firms blaming each other. You get a print ready PDF as well as the printed copies, so the report can go on your website or out by email. The files stay yours afterwards, and nobody has to ask permission to use them again next year.

Can you work straight from our accountant’s figures

Yes. Send the accounts however they come, spreadsheet, PDF or a printout, and the tables get rebuilt so they read properly on a page. You check every figure on the proof before it prints.

We only want a few printed, is that a problem

Not at all. You say how many you need and that is what gets printed. A small stack for the meeting and a PDF for everybody else is a perfectly sensible way to do it.

Can it match the one we did last year

Usually. Send last year’s copy, or the file it came from, and the new one can follow the same look, so the two of them sit together on a shelf without an argument.
