Signage printing
What signs can I get printed in Somerset
Signs built to sit out in Somerset weather, printed on whichever material suits where the sign is going.
You get a board that still looks right after a wet winter, with the fixing holes in the right places. Design and print happen in the same building, so nothing gets lost between two companies.
What makes signage printing work once it’s up
A sign has one job, and that’s to be read by somebody who wasn’t looking for it. So fewer words than you think, lettering that holds up at a distance, and enough contrast that it still reads in flat grey light. Your phone number wants to be big. What you do wants to be more obvious than what you’re called, because nobody knows your name yet. Measure the space before you order, including the bit the guttering covers, and check whether the fixings have to miss a window frame. If the sign’s going on a listed building or a shopfront in a conservation area, the council may want a say, and asking them first is cheaper than taking a finished sign back down. Send a photo of the wall and rough measurements, and you’ll get a proof showing how it will really sit.
| Material | Where it works | Fixed with |
|---|---|---|
| Correx | Fences, site boards, jobs that end | Cable ties or clout nails |
| Foamex | Wall panels, indoor signs, menu boards | Screws or stand-off bolts |
| Aluminium composite | Permanent signs facing the road | Screws into a fixed frame |
| Printed vinyl | Windows, vans, recovering old boards | Applied onto the surface |
Questions people actually ask
Can you fit it as well
Printing and drilling are ours. Putting it up is usually a job for you or your builder, and you’ll be told straight if it wants a proper sign fitter on a ladder instead.
I only need the one board
That’s fine. One sign is a job like any other, and you get a price for that job rather than being pushed into a stack of boards you’ve nowhere to put.
Do you need my logo as a proper file
It helps. A website screenshot goes fuzzy the moment it’s blown up to sign size, so dig out the original artwork if you can, and it gets redrawn if you can’t.
What will it cost
Depends what you want, so ask. Ring 01823 242424 or email info@reor.co.uk, tell us what you need, and you get a price. One job, one price, done.
